About H T Media Ltd

HT Media Ltd is India’s second largest print media company, with its flagship brand Hindustan Times being one of the most well-known brands in the country. Since its incorporation in 2002, HT Media Ltd has acquired numerous subsidiaries, such as Hindustan Media Ventures Limited, HT Music and Entertainment Company Limited, and Hindustan Burda Media Limited. In 2007, they ventured into business news with the launch of business newspaper Mint in Delhi and Mumbai, in association with The Wall Street journal. Furthermore, they entered the radio segment with the channel Fever 104 FM in association with Virgin. With effect from 2009, HT Media sold its Hindi business consisting of Hindi daily newspaper ‘Hindustan’, magazines, and internet portals to its subsidiary company, Hindustan Media Ventures Ltd. That same year, HT Digital Media Holdings Ltd also incorporated a subsidiary - HT Mobile Solutions Ltd - for mobile marketing solutions. In the year 2011, HMVL restructured with a focus on high-growth areas of classified ads, FMCG, education, and real estate. In 2012, they formed a joint venture with Indian Education Services Private Limited and have so far invested Rs 1500 lacs in equity capital. HT Media has since become a diversified media company and plans to further consolidate its growth.
