About Greenply Industries Ltd

Greenply Industries Limited is an Indian manufacturing company involved in the production of plywood, MDF boards, wallcoverings, and other related products. It has 3 overseas subsidiaries, Greenply Trading PTE LTD in Singapore, GREENPLY Middle East in Dubai, and Greenply Gabon SA in Gabon West Africa. In 1995, Greenply expanded the capacity of its sawing of logs to 12,500 Cu.Mt, peeling of logs to 21,000 Cu.Mt, and plywood to 18,000 Cu.Mt. In 1996, it diversified into a wind mill project with an installed capacity of 550 KW. Greenply Industries also expanded its export markets and launched new products and initiatives. In 2014, it upgraded its long-term credit rating from CARE A to CARE AA. Further, it incorporated two subsidiaries in India and Myanmar, and also transferred subsidiaries in the U.K., Indonesia, Thailand, and USA to its subsidiary, Greenlam Industries Limited. In the following year, it introduced a trading business for wallpapers and also launched a mobile application for sales executives. Greenply also strengthened its doors business and developed, low-emission E1 grade MDF boards, curved MDF boards, routing grade MDF boards, and FR grade MDF boards. In 2017, it issued and allotted 1945525 equity shares of face value Rs.1 each through a qualified institutional buyers program for a total amount of Rs.499,999,925. Its wooden floor products were reinforced with a presence in 400 retailers and it also bagged several residential and Hotel projects. The company also successfully positioned wooden floor products as B2C products with distinct features. Finally, it had also approved an expansion of veneer line in its existing manufacturing unit of Greenply Gabon SA.
