About Garg Furnace Ltd

Garg Furnace, established in December 1973, is a public limited company that manufactures alloy steel. It has its manufacturing facilities located at Ludiana, Punjab and began operations in 1974 with a 1 tonne arc furnace. To improve their technology, it was scrapped and a 0.5 metric tonne induction melting furnace was installed. In 1988, it added a rolling mill for the production of MS hot rolled rounds. The capacity was continually increased from 1989-1994 and then again in March 1995. They completed an expansion-cum-forward integration plan in 1995, to set up a new induction melting furnace and a wire rod mill with a combined capacity of 72,000 and 30,000 tonnes per annum respectively. Since then, they have been supplying their products to Indian Railways, thermal power stations, cement plants, sugar mills and auto, bicycle and sewing machine parts manufacturers.
