About G M Breweries Ltd

G M Breweries, officially known as GMBL, was established as a private limited company in December 1981 and became a deemed public limited company in August 1990. It manufactures Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) and Country Liquor, and markets its brandy, rum and whisky under the brand names Pioneer Doctor Brandy, Pioneer Special Doctor Brandy, Hot Shot Rum and Reporter Choice Whisky. For the purpose of sharpening the taste and character of the liquor, the company has used imported oakwood barrels to mature the whisky. Despite its ongoing success, GMBL was determined to improve its operations by embarking upon an expansion project in 1995, incrementing its production facilities for IMFL products and country liquor from 40.50 and 108.0 lakh litres to 121.50 and 216 lakh litres, respectively. As of the last financial year in 2003-04, the installed capacity figures read 143 and 363 lakh litres, for IMFL and Country Liquor, respectively.
