It was incorporated in the year 1903 and produces a wide range of products and services including dry cell batteries, flashlights, lighting products, and consumer durables. It is one of the oldest and most trusted battery brands in the country.

EIIL is engaged in the production of dry cell batteries, both primary and secondary, for a variety of applications. Its top products include alkaline batteries, zinc-carbon batteries, rechargeable batteries, and lithium-ion batteries. The company also produces a range of flashlights, which include both regular and LED flashlights, as well as a range of lighting products such as LED bulbs, CFLs, and tube lights.
