Chemfab Alkalis Ltd

Chemfab Alkalis Limited, formerly known as Teamec Chlorates Limited, was incorporated in 2009. Since then, it has been engaged in the business of manufacturing basic inorganic chemicals like caustic soda, lye akes, liquid chlorine, hydrogen gas, PVCO pipes, and other products. The company, in 1985, had introduced Monopolar Electrolysers from Chlorine Engineers Corporation, Japan, and in 2013, had replaced the Fire Hydrant System with a new above ground system to prevent leakage. With a successful new Plant commissioned in August 2014 and Caustic Concentration Plant in March 2015, the Company continued to expand and in 2017, Chemfab Alkalis Limited was amalgamated with Teamec Chlorates Limited. Prior to this, Teamec Chlorates Ltd. had an installed capacity of 31.57 MT per day while Hydrogen had a capacity linked to Sodium Chlorate production. Through allotment of 13,10,224 Equity Shares of Rs.10 to the merged Entity, Chemfab Alkalis Limited, and 7,28,080 Equity Shares to existing Shareholders of the Company, the Company was further strengthened. In November 2019, the Company got BIS-approval for PVCO Pipes and in December, the wholly-owned Subsidiary Chemfab Alkalis Karaikal Limited was incorporated for manufacturing all types of chemicals from Alkalis to Aldehydes. In April 2021, the Company successfully increased its production capacity from 125 tpd to 155 tpd and is working towards further scaling up to 200 tpd with the help of addition of a state-of-the-art RO Plant and new Production Line at the PVCO Plant. With process safety management and approvals from professional bodies, the Company is making the most of its green field project at Karaikal and has obtained the ISO 14001:2015 Certification in Environmental Management System and OHSAS 18001:2007 systems.
