About Apt Packaging Ltd

Anil Chemicals Industries, incorporated in 1980, manufactures prilled ammonium nitrate, ammonium nitrate fuel oil mixed ANFO, emulsified bulk explosives and waterproofing compounds. With plants across Chikalthana, Maharashtra, Panoli, Gujarat, Waidhan, Madhya Pradesh and Nandrabad, Maharashtra, the company has forayed into manufacturing coextruded plastic tubes and diversified into producing waterproofing compounds in collaboration with Atomized Materials US. It was the first private company to sell bulk explosives to Coal India and bagged an award by NRDC for developing a machine for emulsified ANFO. Its subsidiary Navneet Machine Manufacturing Company shut down in 1999 as losses exceeded networth and Waidhan and Jharsuguda plants did not function due to a pending decision in the price fixation.

Anil Chemicals Industries, a private sector company established in Jun.80, is a leading manufacturer of prilled ammonium nitrate, ammonium nitrate fuel oil mixed ANFO, emulsified bulk explosives and waterproofing compounds. It has plants across 6 states in India, and was the first private company to supply bulk explosives to Coal India. In recognition of its innovative product development, Anil Chemicals received the NRDC award for developing the ANFO Master Machine for preparing emulsified ANFO Bulk explosives. Its subsidiary, Navneet Machine Manufacturing Company, however shut down in 1999 as its losses exceeded networth. The company diversified further and forayed into the manufacture of coextruded plastic tubes with a capacity of 75 million tubes annually in collaboration with Atomised Materials US and into the production of waterproofing compounds at Nandrabad, Maharashtra. Anil Chemicals’ Waidhan and Jharsuguda plants, however, remained inactive due to an ongoing decision on price fixation against Coal India Ltd.
