About Anik Industries Ltd

Madhya Pradesh Glychem Industries (MPGIL) is a public limited company established in 1976 by the M P State Industries Corporation and a private promoter. It was not active till 1985 when the Ruchi Group acquired the controlling interest, and since then has diversified its business. It operates a 3000tpa milk processing plant, a 2.4lactpa solvent extraction unit, a 800tpd food processing unit, a 100tpd oil refinery, and a dairy unit with capabilities to process 1.5 lac liters of liquid milk daily and to manufacture skimmed milk powder, butter, ghee, cheese, and dairy whitener. MPGIL successfully accomplished a public issue in March 1994 to partially finance the projects, and the dairy unit producing according to export market specifications commenced production in December 1995. It has been awarded the Third Highest Exporter of Soyabean Meal in the private sector and Third Highest Processor of Soyabean by the Soyabean Processors Association of India for the year 199798. Furthermore, it received Certificate of Merit for highest sale of soya protein concentrate/isoleate from SOPA, the Soyabean Processors Association of India. The company extended its business with a composite plant consisting of a 600tpd Edible Oil Refinery and 150tpd Vanaspati at Halda, West Bengal, which was commissioned in December 2002.
