About Amarjothi Spinning Mills Ltd

Amarjothi Spinning Mills (ASM) was established in 1987 before converting into a public limited company in 1991. N Rajan is the current Chairman. ASM went public with its first issue in 1993 to fund a spinning mill with an initial capacity of 12096 spindles to manufacture cotton yarn in Pudusuripalayam, Tamilnadu. To finance part of the project, it issued secured shares worth Rs. 2.20 crores in a private placement. During the first year of operations, 199495, it had raised capital through public issue. The installed capacity was increased by 6016 spindles to 18992 in 199697. A modernisation programme was carried out in 20002001 and it extended its spindles capacity to 4752. The company has installed advanced machinery such as blow room carding machines, draw frames, simplex frames, ring frames from Lakshmi Machine Works and autoconers with electronic clearers and automatic splicers from Schlafhrost India.
