About 5paisa Capital Ltd

5Paise Capital Ltd (5PCL) was incorporated in 2007 as India Infoline Finance Holdings Limited before changing its name to 5paisa Capital Limited in 2015. The company, a wholly owned subsidiary of IIFL Holdings Ltd, provides an online technology platform for stock trading, mobile applications, a Call and Trade Unit, and more. 5PCL is also a SEBI approved Research Analyst, a Depository Participant under CDSL, and registered member of AMFI. On Sept 30 2016, 5PCL and IIFL Holdings Ltd (IIFLH) proposed a Scheme of Arrangement under Section 391-394 of the Companies Act 1956 which involved the demerger of 5palsa digital undertaking of IIFLH into 5PCL. The consideration for the Scheme is the issuance of one equity share worth Rs 10/- each, fully paid-up, of 5PCL for every 25 equity shares of IIFLH held by their respective shareholders. The proposal is currently pending receipt of all regulatory approvals and filing of certified copies of the NCLT order with the Registrar of Companies. This proposed demerger is expected to increase the reach of 5PCL and their financial services to customers, including depository services, equity research, bond distribution, and more.
