About Lucid Group Inc.

"Lucid Group, Inc. is an American-based automobile company that specializes in manufacturing high-performance electric vehicles. The company has its headquarters in Newark, California. Founders Bernard Tse and Sam Weng established Atieva (now known as Lucid, Inc.) in 2007. It houses nearly 2000 working employees as of December 2021. Initially, the company aimed to develop powertrains and high-end batteries for vehicles in 2007. Later, in 2016, it moved on to develop a fully electric luxury car, named Lucid Air. In 2019, the company was invested by the Public Investment Fund with 1 billion USD to increase the capacity of its manufacturing plant. It also merged with the Churchill Capital Corp IV, a SPAC (Special-Purpose acquisition company) with a deal of around 12 billion USD. In 2020, the US EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) affirmed that Lucid Air covers a distance of 840 KM on a single charge. Lucid has also collaborated with Amazon to install the Voice Control system. CEO Rawlinson stated that Lucid intends to develop a future project by 2023, named Gravity SUV. Later, it will introduce a Tesla Model 3 competitor by 2024-2025. According to the Wall Street Journal reports from July 2021, the Public Investment fund owns 60 percent of Lucid and will record a profit of approximately 20 billion USD from the investments made in 2018. Currently Lucid Group Inc. has a market cap of $3.22 Billion. It has a P.E ratio of -3.31. The shares of Lucid Group Inc. are trading at {current share price in dollars (in INR)}."
