About Unichem Laboratories Ltd

Unichem Laboratories Ltd is an India based pharmaceutical company, headquartered in Mumbai, specialising in the manufacture of active pharmaceutical ingredients (API). Founded in 1962, the company has five manufacturing facilities in Roha, Maharashtra; Goa; Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh; Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh; and Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, all of which have been certified ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:2004. Over the years, Unichem Laboratories Ltd has formed collaborations and acquired subsidiaries such as Uni Sankyo Co.Marketing Formulations, Medical Corporation South Africa, Unisearch Ltd., Niche Generics Ltd., and Unichem Pharmaceuticals USA Inc. In 2019, they set up their first subsidiary in China, Younikaimo Pharmaceutical Shanghai Private Limited. The company recently sold their domestic formulations business, and manufacturing facility at Sikkim, on a going concern basis, to Torrent Pharmaceuticals Limited. They remain at the forefront of the pharmaceutical industry with their commitment to innovation and quality.
