About Uni Abex Alloy Products Ltd

Uni Abex Alloy Products, established in August 1982, is a leader in producing static centrifugal castings and assemblies in heat and corrosion resistant alloys, in their manufacturing plant at Dharwad Karnataka. Until 1991-92, they were in technical and trade mark agreement with Abex Corporation U.S.A. but the latter ceased their association and Uni Abex entered a fresh collaboration with German firm Schmidt Clemens GmbH & Co in 199192. In December of the same year, they allotted 625000 equity shares of Rs.10 each at a premium of Rs.42.50 per share to another German associate, Marker Stahl GmbH & Co. The company received certification of ISO 9002:1994 standards from Lloyds Register Quality Assurance during 1999-2000 and then initiated integration of Total Quality Management (TQM) and Team Process Management (TPM), and planned implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). In 2013-14 the commercial production was operational with the commissioning of the Greenfield Project at Dharwad.
