About Tips Music Ltd

Tips Industries Limited (TIL) is one of India’s largest Entertainment companies and has been active in the industry for over 30 years. Initially established as a trading business in the 1980s, the Taurani family have since grown TIL into a leading company in the music, film production, film distribution and artist management sectors. They have developed a vast collection covering songs in various Indian languages and markets products under the TIPS logo, which is registered with the Registrar of Trade Marks. In order to expand their business scope, TIL have issued 3 million equity shares of Rs 10/- each for cash at a premium of Rs 315/- per share, along with embarking on a journey of film production. During the year 2000-2001, the Company acquired Dashmesh International Ltd, a Mauritius based company, and converted it into a 100% subsidiary. They also signed a 3 year licensing deal with Warner Electra Atlantic and acquired 100% stake in Tips Films Private Ltd. With 3500 titles, 10 million sellers, 15 that have grossed 5 million in sales and 20 million sellers, Tips also owns soundtrack copy rights to 50 Hindi Movies. They own two factories, their own distribution system and offices in the USA, Dubai and England. This has enabled Tips to deliver more than 150,000 cassettes per day to the Indian market.
