About TIL Ltd

Established in 1944 by a group of Scotsmen led by R T Wilson, TIL TILL was a dealer of Caterpillar Tractor Company’s earthmoving equipment and spare parts. The company was later renamed TIL in 1985 after it amalgamated with Spundish Engineers, and in 1960 it formed a new entity in collaboration with Coles Crane UK – Coles Crane India – to manufacture India’s first mobile crane. In 1976, Coles Crane India was merged with TIL, and it now operates in the three major segments such as Material Handling, Construction Equipment, and Power Systems. In 1984, TIL merged with a unit manufacturing process equipment for the chemical industry. The company also markets mobile cranes of 10MT to 100MT in different versions such as electric, diesel, and hydraulic. Furthermore, TIL has undertaken collaborations with Grove Europe and Boss Group UK to manufacture and market forklift trucks and higher tonnage cranes, respectively. Additionally, the company raised funds in 1993 for modernization via a rights issue and an MoU with Marubeni to market their products.
