About Texmaco Rail & Engineering Ltd

Texmaco Rail Engineering Ltd is one of India's leading freight car manufacturers and a diversified engineering company, specialising in wagons, hydromechanical equipment, process equipment, steel foundry, sugar mill machineries, industrial boilers, cryogenic and pressure vessels, chemical plant equipment, agromachinery and power tillers. Established in June 1998, Texmaco is the largest supplier of wagons to the Indian Railways and supplies to major customers like the National Hydroelectric Power Corporation, National Thermal Power Corporation and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. Texmaco has five manufacturing facilities in Kolkata and Marketing offices in Mumbai, Chennai and Delhi. Recently, the company has joined hands with Bombardier Transportation India Ltd to submit a joint bid to the Ministry of Railways for the manufacture of electric locomotives. Moreover, a joint venture with Australia's UGL Ltd has been formed for a manufacturing facility based at the company's Belgharia Kolkata site. The company's equity shares have been listed on the Bombay and National Stock Exchange since 2011 and has currently won one of the largest orders to supply hydro mechanical equipment for a 2000 MW hydro power project. Texmaco aims to expand their manufacturing facilities and to invest in new design wagons, EMUs, metro coaches and locomotive components to meet the increasing demand from both the domestic market and countries like North America and Australia.
