About Standard Surfactants Ltd

Kanpur Standard Surfactants (SSL) is a professionally managed company controlled by the Garg group, which specializes in noncaptive surfactants, surface active agents, and synthetic detergents. With two units, located in Rania (Uttar Pradesh) and Mandideep (Madhya Pradesh), the company currently serves several prominent customers like HLL, PG, Godrej, and Shaw Wallace. In addition, SSL has a tie-up with PG to purchase at least 50% of their surfactant requirement, estimated currently at 5,000 TPA, and it is expected to increase to 8,000 TPA by 1997. Furthermore, SSL is expanding into the production of toilet soaps, personal care products, speciality chemicals, and alpha olefins. In 2019-20, SSL has increased its installed capacity of synthetic detergents by 18,000 TPA and more products were added in the Surfactants and FMCG segments. The company is also planning to commission its Spray Division Plant by the end of 200102.
