About Shanthi Gears Ltd

Established in 1969, Shanthi Gears (SGL) is a Coimbatore-based gear manufacturing company that specialises in a range ofproducts used in industries such as process power, steel, cement, sugar and aviation. SGL delivers custom made gears to 50% of their customers, as well as producing gears for machinery as simple as hand-driven jacks, as well as high-tech parts for supersonic jet aircrafts. Through its subsidiaries, Shanthi Clothsline, Shanthi Construction, and Shanthi Precision Industries, the company is able to manufacture and deploy their products all the way from the raw materials being forged to the finished products. In Mar.92, SGL issued a rights issue to finance the expansion and modernisation of their facilities, as well as a preferential issued of 3.4 lac equity shares to banks and mutual funds. With state-of-the-art production machines, quality control facilities, and pending orders of machineries worth Rs.37.47 Crores, SGL is a well-established multi-divisional service provider that can meet the needs of its customers in the process power, steel, cement, sugar, and aviation industries.
