SMR Universal Softech, an HRD software, training and consulting company founded in April 2000, is currently in the process of acquiring Specialist Management Resources Sdb Bdh SMR, a software development business established in 1978. With over 20000 individuals trained in 26 countries, and partnerships with over 500 commercial and non-profit organisations, SMR is a leader in trainer training qualifications and is a member of the Interactive Multimedia Association. To acquire the software development company, SMR Universal Softech launched a public issue of 5 million equity shares of Rs 10 each in April 2001.
