About Sangal Papers Ltd

Sangal Papers, a public limited company, initially began a project to manufacture Kraft Paper with an installed capacity of 4500 tons/year. The produce mix was changed to include writing, printing and newsprint paper due to the then prevailing market conditions. With a view to improve realisation and introduce cost effectiveness, the pulp used to produce these products was reduced from 100% waste paper to a mix of waste paper and agricultural residues in 1992. Subsequently, the capacity was upgraded from 4500 tons/year to 7500 tons/year, and then to 19800 tons/year. The products of the company are used to print educational books and forms and to make corrugated boxes, envelopes and other packing materials for packaging industries.
