About Premier Polyfilm Ltd

Premier Polyfilm PPL, a company incorporated in July 1992 and patronized by A N Goenka and A K Surekha, made a rights issue in May 1995 to finance a new calendering line with 9,600 tonnes/per annum (tpa) capacity to manufacture PVC linoleum floorings, leather cloth topping, and other PVC products. After expansion in October 1995, the total capacity increased to 16,200 tpa. PPL is the first in India to introduce products like PVC linings for ponds and canals. Export products are supplied to countries like Srilanka, South Africa, Burma, and Bangladesh, with a plan to enter markets like America, Australia, and Saudi Arabia. It plans to export PVC fabricated items like shower curtains, table covers and suit covers with higer value additions. The company is currently under consideration from IDBI (the operating agency appointed by BIFR) to finalize its rehabilitation package for revival. The scheme is expected to be granted soon.
