About Permanent Magnets Ltd

Permanent Magnets PML (PML) is a company that was incorporated in 1960. Currently being managed by Shreeram Taparia as the chairman and Shyam Sunder Taparia as the managing director, PML produces two types of magnets: cast alloy permanent magnets and hard ferrite magnets. In 1991, PML came out with a rights issue of 77,000 equity shares of Rs.100 each at par, aggregating to Rs.77.49 lakh, to finance capital expenditure and meet long-term working capital requirements.

PML exports its products to leading countries like the US, the UK, Germany, Italy and Egypt. In the year 1989-90, PML was declared sick, however, it started making profits since the year 1990-91. During the year 1999-2000, the Jalgaon plant had to be closed due to a labour problem.
