About Nahar Spinning Mills Ltd

Nahar Spinning Mills Limited is a Public Limited Company that manufactures cotton yarn/blended and synthetic yarn and hosiery knitwears, with all its units based in Ludhiana, India. It also has its own dyeing unit at Ludhiana. In 1995, it set up an Acrylic Fibre Project of 18000 tons capacity, but due to a falls in share prices, this project was shelved. In 1999, the Company set up a 100 export oriented spinning unit at Jalalpur, and in 2000, it commissioned its MercerisingcumDyeing Plant at Lalru. It then replaced its old machinery with the Ultra Modern Machinery at a cost of Rs.15 crores. In 2006, spinning project of 24000 spindles and 720 rotors was established at Lalru, and the Composite Scheme of Demerger and Arrangement between the Company and two other entities- Nahar Exports Limited and Nahar Capital and Financial Services Limited-stands approved by the Punjab-Haryana High Court, thus separating the Investment Activities from the Textile Business of Nahar Exports Limited.
