About Nagreeka Exports Ltd

Nagreeka Exports (NEL) was established in March 1989 under the leadership of Chairman Ishwarlal Patwari to set up a 100 export-oriented spinning unit for cotton yarn with an installed capacity of 26,208 spindles in Kolhapur district of Maharashtra. Despite a six-month delay caused by the manufacturers, commercial production started in March 1995. NEL then signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Globex Pvt Ltd to distribute cotton yarn in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines. Additionally, the company received an ISO 9002 certification for its yarn and knitted fabric in 1998-99. NEL also had plans to create a captive power plant for cost-benefit while also augmenting spinning capacity and adding value-added production through Textile Upgradation Fund Scheme. The Company is still awaiting certain clearances for the implementation of the captive power project.
