About N K Industries Ltd

N K Industries Limited (NKIL) former known as N K Oil Mills is a Government recognised Export House with significant refining capacities as well as facilities to manufacture castor oil derivatives. The company changed its process of oil milling and refining to incorporate the latest technology, such as oil decanters, vertical continuous solvent extraction plant, continuous oil refining, energy efficient hydrogenous plant and quality fatty acid production plant. The product castor oil is used in lubricant, paint, cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries, as well as exported to international markets such as Europe, Brazil and the US. In 1993, NKIL won the Gujarat government’s export award, and later set up a trading branch in London in order to tap into the global market for agricultural commodities. In 1997, it took over K V Patel & Co, an edible and non-edible oil firm. Unfortunately, the company faced mounting losses during 1998-99 and was declared ‘sick’, thus has been referred to BIFR for rehabilitation.
