About MPL Plastics Ltd

Milton Plastics Inc. was established in 1972 as a partnership firm, and converted to a public limited company in 1992. Located in Sanaswadi near Pune, India, Milton Plastics successfully manufactures plastic household items, thermowares, blossomates, and components and fitments for the automobile industry, along with various engineering products made from plastics. In 1995, they entered a joint venture with Hong Kong-based Electricals and Electronics to launch domestic appliances, and in 1999 they launched six new product ranges. During the same year, the company closed down some of their non-core activities for lease/finance and polymer trading. In 200102, sweet solutions - a business associate of the promoters - issued 3.25 million shares, increasing the stake of the promoters by 26%, vs 0% the previous year. Unfortunately, the company had to joint the Board of Industrial and Financial Reconstruction (BIFR) as the networth of the Company was fully eroded.
