About Marsons Ltd

Marsons Electricals was established in 1957 as a proprietorship concern, becoming a private limited company in 1976 and deemed public in 1981. In 1992, Marsons made its foray into the public sector and carried out its first public issue in 1994 to finance facility expansion. The company was specialized in manufacturing power transformers up to 66 kV and 132 kV class with a rating of 20 MVA. It was also commissioned in Rajasthan, UP, West Bengal, Assam and a wind power project of 1 MW capacity at Kayathar, Tamil Nadu. Moreover, it diversified its operations to allied electrical and mechanical products, petrochemical industries and pollution control equipment. Notably, it went international with an export order worth Rs 76 lakh. Finally, in 1994-95, the company completed its factory shed for the production of 50 MVA transformers of 132 KV class.
