About Kohinoor Foods Ltd

Kohinoor Foods Limited (previously known as Satnam Overseas Ltd) is a leading Basmati Rice player established in 1989. It has two rice mills in India (Murthal, Haryana and Amritsar, Punjab) with a combined capacity of 12 tons per hour. It also owns a Food Factory located in Bahalgarh Sonepat. The company has two 100% owned subsidiaries in India (Sachdeva Brothers Private Limited) and USA (Kohinoor Foods USA Inc). In 1992, they went public to fund the modernization of their plants, and since then have diversified into other allied areas like pulses and rice-based snacks.

In 2015, Kohinoor Foods aquired a new Food Processing Unit near Sonipat Haryana. In 2016-17, they launched the Limited Edition range, followed by Ready to eat Curries and Simmer Sauces under the Kohinoor Brand in 2018-19. The company has been awarded the World Economic Forum Prize for contribution to global growth as well as the prestigious APEDA Award for promoting exports of agricultural and processed food products. With their headquarters in the UK, they have also established a joint venture company, Rice Rice Raisers Factory L L C, based in Dubai to penetrate the Middle East Region.
