Kabra Extrusion Technik (KETL) founded in 1982 is India’s leading manufacturer of Plastic Extrusion Machinery equipment. It is the flagship division of Kolsite Group and provides innovative solutions in the making of pipes, films and granules. With two manufacturing locations in Daman, KETL is also engaged in the green energy storage system, manufacturing lithium-ion batteries with Battery Management Systems (BMS). It was set up in collaboration with Battenfeld Extrusion Technik, Germany and went into commercial production in 1985. In 1997, it entered the corrugator and lay-flat machines market with collaboration from UNICOR Rahn Plastmachinen. Furthermore, to manufacture PP/HDPE tape plants, KETL partnered with Georg Sahm, Germany and incorporated Kabra Georg Sahm Winders. In 2000, it entered a new technical collaboration agreement with Battenfeld Extrusionstechnik GmbH for BEX 2 series and post-extrusion equipments. In 2019-20, it established a manufacturing plant at Chakan, Pune for modules and battery packs. KETL has witnessed attractive growth in sales and profits since its public issue in May 89, bonus share issuance in 200304 when its paid-up equity rose to 6.86 crores and the dilution of equity holding in Kabra Winders Limited.
