Company Information

IIFL Securities Limited, a financial services company founded in 1996 by first generation entrepreneurs, Mr. Nirmal Jain and Mr. Venkataraman Rajamani, provides capital financial services to over 2.4 million customers across 500 cities in India. On January 31 2018, the company board approved the Composite Scheme of Arrangement to demerge the Securities Business Undertaking of IIFL Finance Limited into the Company. This was sanctioned by the Hon’ble National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) and came into effect on April 1 2018. As part of this arrangement, 319234462 equity shares of Rs. 2 each were issued to eligible shareholders of IIFL Finance Limited. A number of subsidiaries whose assets and liabilities were transferred to the Company from IIFL Finance Limited also ensued as a result of the scheme. In December 2018, the Securities and Exchange Board of India proposed direct overseas listing of Indian companies and other regulatory changes, and these changes allowed exchanges in India to offer equity and commodity segments simultaneously from October 2018.
