About Igarashi Motors India Ltd

Igarashi Motors India Limited was incorporated in 1992 and is primarily engaged in the manufacture of micro motors and its accessories mainly for the automobile sector. The company had a Rs 2.77cr public issue in Jan. 94, with a project cost of Rs 10cr. During 199798, the company expanded its capacity of Rotors to 3.5 million and further expanded to 6 million nos in 199899. In 2000, their Quality System also upgraded to conform to the latest edition of QS 9000. In 2003, Crompton Greaves Limited divested their holding in favour of Igarashi Electric Works. Company also promoted a Joint Venture with Robert Bosch GmbH Germany in 2007 for developing manufacturing & selling DC Motors and Systems. During 200708 to 201011, the company disinvested investments in Agile Electric and divested an additional amount of Rs.5 crores. On July 30 2015, IEWL acquired majority stake in Agile Electric Sub Assembly Pvt. Ltd. & Igarashi Electric India Pvt. Ltd. Company had received a sale consideration of Rs 33.70 lakhs on August 28 2019. Additionally, during 2020-21, the company disinvested entire 9.20 stake held in Bosch Electrical Drives India Pvt. Ltd., in favour of Robert Bosch Investment Netherland B.V. Thus, Igarashi Motors India Limited expanded its endeavors, establishing a successful presence in the automobile sector.
