About Everest Kanto Cylinder Ltd

Everest Kanto Cylinders Limited (EKC), established in 1978, manufactures high-pressure, seamless gas cylinders, cylinders equipment and accessories involved in the storage and containing of gases, liquids and air. In collaboration with Kanto Koatsu Yoki Manufacturing Company Japan, an Aurangabad plant was built and started commercial production in 1981. 1985 saw the setting up of a new facility at Tarapur which increased the production capacity. From then on, the company has constantly been expanding, setting up a new state-of-the-art facility at Dubai and a plant with the production capacity of 340,000 cylinders per annum in Gandhidham. In 2007, EKC International FZE, the company's wholly owned subsidiary in Dubai, commissioned a second plant in Dubai, while EKC Industries Tianjin Co Ltd in China also started commercial production. In April 2005, the company entered into a joint venture with China-based Cangzhou Gas Corporation. April 2009 saw the acquirement of a majority stake in Calcutta Compressions Liquefaction Engineering Pvt Ltd in Kolkata, while a wholly owned subsidiary, EKC Industries Thailand Co Ltd, was set up in 2011. The year 2013 saw a further expansion as EKC Europe GmbH was set up in Germany as a wholly owned subsidiary, and in 2016-17, the company sold a Companies land and building in Gandhidham. In 2017, Next Gen Cylinder Pvt Ltd was formed as a wholly owned subsidiary, and in 2020, the company acquired a further 27.35 % of equity share capital to make Calcutta Compressions Liquefaction Engineering Ltd a wholly owned subsidiary.
