About Digicontent Ltd

Digicontent Limited (DCL) was incorporated in 2017 and operates in the entertainment & digital innovation business. It provides content sourcing services to news websites such as hindustantimes.com, livemint.com, and livehindustan.com, and owns movie entertainment and review website desimartini.com, Fever Audio Tools and a repository of copyright images. In March 2019, the Company acquired the Entertainment & Digital Innovation Business of HT Media Limited with its related assets & liabilities, and strategic investment in HT Digital Streams Limited in a Scheme of Arrangement. The Company issued 58187078 Equity Shares to the eligible shareholders of HT Media Limited in April 2019, and they were admitted for trading on the stock exchanges in June 2019. In September 2020, Mint launched a digital-first marketing campaign and Fabplay instore application was launched with a new interface in December 2020. The Company ventured into a tech digital journalism platform in 2021, and HT Bangla was launched gaining a loyal following. The Board of Directors has approved a Composite Scheme of Amalgamation between the Company, Next Mediaworks Limited and HT Mobile Solutions Limited, and HT Media Limited. If approved, the Company will stand dissolved and its equity shareholders will be entitled to shares of HT Media Limited.
