About Cosmo Ferrites Ltd

Cosmo Ferrites CFL has been manufacturing soft ferrites since 1988 in a collaboration with Veb ElektroConsult Germany and is located in Solan, Himachal Pradesh. The firm produces nitrogen and oxygen cores which are used for transformers used in consumer electronics and lighting systems. The company had net profit of Rs 2.6 Crores on a turnover of Rs 11.64 Crores in 199394. Since then it has seen 56% CAGR in terms of export earnings. To tap the Eastern Bloc and support new product development, CFL is increasing its nitrogen and oxygen product capacities from 300 tpa to 900 tpa & 900 tpa to 2400 tpa respectively. Additionally, the company now has a wider customer base across geographies and enjoys IECQ Geneva certification and ISO 9002 Approval. The debt-equity ratio has also significantly decreased thanks to the rights issue. The installed capacity of components is planned to be increased from current 1350 MT PA to 2050MT PA. The costs of this project will be supported through internal accruals as well as borrowings.
