About Cineline India Ltd

Cinemax India Ltd is a reputable entertainment company which is associated with the Kanakia Group. They have 25 properties with 74 screens throughout India and 4 Giggles outlets in Thane, Nagpur, Rajkot and Ahmedabad. The company started out originally as Cineline Entertainment India Pvt Ltd, incorporated in 2002, and grew to become the public limited company Cinemax India Ltd in 2006. It has 4 subsidiaries: Vista Entertainment Pvt Ltd, Growel Entertainment Pvt Ltd, Nikmo Finance Pvt Ltd and Cinemax Motion Pictures Ltd. Cinemax commenced operations in 1997 in GoregaonWest Mumbai, and opened its first multiplex in 2003 at Wonder Mall Thane under the brand name Cine Wonder. During 200607, they made an initial public offer and were listed on the National Stock Exchange and Bombay Stock Exchange. Over the two consecutive years, 200607 and 200708, they opened 19 and 22 new screens respectively, taking the total number of screens across the country to 52. In 200910 they plan to open 40 new screens across 12 new properties, in addition to launching five more outlets and 4 Giggles outlets in Sion, Mira Road, Nasik and Baroda.
