About Adinath Textiles Ltd

Adhinath Textiles, founded in 1979 by the Oswal Group of Ludhiana, produces wool-blended hosiery and knitting yarns under the Adinath brand name. The company started with a small capacity of 5,392 worsted spindles and 773 tpa of wool tops in 1979-80, followed by an additional 6,000 worsted spindles in 1990. It has since diversified into polyester wool, pure wool and polyester viscose yarns suitable for worsted suitings. In 1995-96, Adhinath earned a foreign exchange of Rs. 5 crores, however profits were affected due to cost of raw materials and devaluation of the rupee. In the year 2000-01, due to the accumulated losses, the net worth of the company has eroded and it has filed a reference to the Board of Industrial and Financial Reconstruction (BIFR) under the Sick Industrial Companies (Special Provisions) Act, 1985.
