For example, in India, the company operates under the name of Flipkart Wholesale. In Mexico, the name is Walmart de México y Centroamérica, Walmart in Canada and USA, etc. The company had also held a stake in Walmart Brazil since 2018 and was renamed Grupo Big in 2019. As per the Fortune Global 500, the revenue of the company is US$ 548.743 billion. The company is considered the world’s largest company based on revenue. It also is the largest employer worldwide with more than 2.2 million employees. The company is a family-owned business controlled by the Walton family. The family holds more than 50% shares of Walton Enterprises. Walmart is the largest and the most profitable grocery retailer in the USA. The company is listed on both NASDAQ and the New York Stock Exchange.
