Incorporated as UberCab, Inc. in 2010 and rebranded as Uber Technologies, Inc., the company offers transportation services through nearly 16 million trips daily in approximately 10,000 cities across 71 counties. The most distinguished service that Uber Technologies, Inc. offers is its public transport aggregation services through Uber Cabs. Uber Cabs is a ride-hailing mobile application that connects customers looking for public transport, like cabs and auto-rickshaws, with drivers providing the service in real-time. Uber for Business provides employee transport services with enhanced features for corporate customers, like employee trip activity tracking, automated billing, and expense and reporting. Uber Eats is the platform through which Uber Technologies, Inc. marks its presence in the delivery business. UberEats helps discover local food outlets, order food from partner food outlets, and pick up and deliver the order to the customers’ doorsteps. In certain markets, Uber also delivers groceries and other products from local convenience stores. Uber Freight offers freight hauling services by connecting freight carriers (transporters) with shippers. In principle, it works quite similarly to the Uber ride-hailing mobile application. Advanced Technology Group (ATG) and Other Technology Platforms Uber Technologies, Inc.’s ATG and Other Technology Platforms segments cater to the advancement in autonomous vehicle and ridesharing technologies.
