About KDDL Ltd

Kamla Dials and Devices KDDL commenced production of watch dials in 1983 but faced issues due mainly to infrastructure problems and the liquidation of its original Swiss collaborator. A new collaboration with Tesio Precision Taiwan gave the business a revival and the product range included plain printed dials, multiprinted dials, pressed dials, applied index dials, multifunction dials, and dials with special features such as luminised indexes, jewels, and mother of pearl tigers eye surfaces. Customers included major watch manufacturers like Titan, Allwyn, Timex, Bentex and HMT and exports to the European market. In 1994, production of watch hands began along with a third dial production line. A wholly-owned subsidiary, Kamla Appliques, was also set up to take over components for dial manufacturing from KDDL, and Ageo Seimitsu Japan was brought on to produce diamond-cut hands. KDDL is also expanding its facilities and aiming to develop new dial finishes to increase its market share in Hong Kong and Swiss markets.
