It is currently one of the world's leading entertainment services, with its presence in more than 190 countries with over 200 million paid subscribers. The company offers TV series, feature films, and documentaries across multiple genres and languages on its platform. The OTT platform, which has revolutionized the entertainment space globally, has over 20 subsidiaries, including studio houses in various European and Asian nations. This year, the company made its biggest acquisition by adding the Roald Dahl Story Company (RDSC) to its portfolio. In 2021, the company also acquired Night School Studio to enhance gaming reach among the gaming savvy audiences. Netflix Inc. has also inked a multi-year deal with ​​Sony Pictures Entertainment for exclusive rights to stream the latter’s theatrical releases in the United States. Netflix Inc. has its shares listed in the US on the NASDAQ under the ticker name NFLX. The popular media-streaming platform posted revenue of $7.5 billion in the third quarter of 2021, registering a jump of 16% on a year-on-year basis. The company also reported a 33.5% increase in operating income, which climbed to $1.76 billion in 2021 Q3. Over 24 years in the industry, Netflix has won as many as 24 Academy Awards, popularly known as Oscars, and 112 Emmy Awards out of 619 nominations. Netflix’s production ‘Homecoming: A Film By Beyoncé’ won its first Grammy Award in 2020 under Best Music Film.
