Company Information

Peninsula Land Limited (PLL), the real estate arm of the Ashok Piramal Group, was established in 1871 as a textile unit under the name of The Morarjee Goculdas Spinning Weaving Company Limited. Under its commercial and residential brands of Crossroads and Ashok, PLL is renowned for its concept-based architecture. Their notable projects include Ashok Towers, Bayside Mall, Peninsula Corporate Park, Peninsula Technopark, Ashok Gardens, Peninsula Realty Fund, Peninsula Tech City and the upcoming Peninsula Life Centre and Peninsula Technology Park. In 2005, Piramal Holdings Limited and Morarjee Realties Limited merged to form Peninsula Land Limited. PLL has tied up with Leela Ventures to develop a seven-storey commercial project in Nagpur across 0.5 acres of land, with Essar Realty Holdings to lease and sell premises at its upcoming IT park in Mumbai, and with Cidco for the development of three Special Economic Zones in Goa.

Shares of Peninsula Land surged nearly 17% after the company announced a fundraising proposal of up to ₹150 crore via optionally convertible debentures. The unsecured OCDs will be issued on a preferential basis by way of private placement to Arsenio Strategies Pvt Ltd, with an option to convert them into fully paid-up equity shares within 18 months. Real estate developer Peninsula Land Limited has raised INR 150 crore through optionally convertible debentures and announced the creation of a real estate platform with Alpha Alternatives and Delta Corp Limited. The platform will undertake residential redevelopment in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region and plotted development in surrounding areas, funded by an aggregate amount of up to INR 765 crores.

Peninsula Land is partnering with Delta Corp and Alpha Alternatives Fund Advisors LLP to establish a Rs 765 crore real estate development platform focused on residential redevelopment projects in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region and plotted developments in and around Mumbai, Alibaug, Khopoli, Karjat, and Pune.
