Tarai Foods Ltd Company Information

Established in 1990, Tarai Foods is a public limited company and has a capacity of 7200 tonnes per annum for equipment and freezing of vegetables and fruits. In 1993, the company raised its Initial Public Offering of Rs 4.25 Crore to acquire equipment for its freezing plant. To meet the growing demand for American food in India, Tarai Foods launched Inland Valley frozen French Fries. The company also undertook a Wheat Separation project with a capacity of 50 Kgs bags and bulk with a view to supply quality potatoes. To further expand their market presence, Tarai Foods has also launched a consumer market in 19992000 with its brand-name Tarai. It further diversified operations into Mushroom growth and processing. In the year 200102, the company got officially declared as a Sick Company and an IDBI-led rehabilitation package is being followed which is monitored by BIFR.
