Surana Telecom Limited (STL) was incorporated in August 1989 and became a public limited company in July 1993. It belongs to the Surana Group of Companies and is engaged in the manufacture of a range of telecommunication products such as heatshrinkable jointing kits, cable splicing/filling compounds, jelly filled telecommunication cables, wire connectors, end caps, modular connectors, and HDPE pipes. Furthermore, in November 1994, they diversified into the manufacture of optical fibre cables. STL received orders worth 22 Crores from PIJF cables, and the Department of Telecommunications for providing Internet Services. Additionally, STL has entered the Handheld segment and offered CDMA colour display handheld terminals to MTNL. Now, they are setting up facilities to manufacture switch mode power supply-based battery chargers; they are in the process of establishing a manufacturing facility in Goa; and have received orders worth Rupees 30 crore for supplying Jelly Filled Telephone Cables and Optical Fibre Cables. STL is committed to creating a diverse portfolio of products and maintaining a strong foothold in the telecommunication sector.
