SKP Securities Limited is a Finacial firm which initially specialized in lending, but now has widened its services to offer Stock Broking, Merchant Banking, Corporate Finance, Portfolio Management, Investment Advisory and other financial related services. The company raised the Paidup Equity Share Capital in 1996 to Rs.3.00 crores through an Initial Public Offering which was oversubscribed by 12 times. In 1997, following the amalgamation of SKP Brokerage Limited with SKP Securities, the Equity Capital has decreased to Rs.2.30 crores and 2750000 Equity Shares were subsequently allotted to shareholders of SBL at par in 1998, which increased the Equity Paidup to Rs.5.05 crores. Additionally, SKP started to operate as a Depository Participant of both NSDL and CDSL in 2002 and won several esteemed accolades such as Pru Chairmans Gold Award 2001 and the Hall of Fame Award 2002 from Prudential ICICI Mutual Fund and respectively Standard Chartered Mutual Fund for being the top distributor of their mutual funds in the Eastern Region.
