Aksh Optifibre Ltd Company Information

Aksh Optifibre Limited (AOL) is a public company based in India that was originally established as a private company, in 1986. It manufactures and exports PVC and PE insulated specialty cables. AOL is one of the few manufacturer that has integrated its operation through backwards in production of fibre and preform and has acquired ISO9002 certification from Underwriters Laboratories US for drawing & insulating of non-ferrous wire. In 2000, it had merged with Telecords India Private Limited with backward integration towards manufacturing FRP rods, a principal raw material used to manufacture optical fibre cable. The company is planning to expand their current production capacities to 210000 ckm, fiber capacity to 5300000 lkm and FRP capacity to 1000000 km by the year 2002. It is also in the process of incorporating two wholly-owned subsidiaries that will provide telecom and converged solutions to bandwidth owners.
