Some mutual fund houses themselves do the work of the registrar while others appoint a third party registrar to maintain all the records related to mutual fund transactions. Steps to Link Aadhar to Mutual Fund with CAMS
Step 1: Visit CAMS’ official website and click on the ‘Investor service’ menu. Select the ‘Link Your Aadhar’ option available on the left hand side of the screen.
Step 2: Enter your PAN and select one out of the three available options- Mobile, Date of Birth, or Email address in the next box and enter details accordingly.
Step 3: Click on ‘Verify’ and you will be redirected to a new page where you have to provide your Aadhar number and the registered mobile number. You can also provide your email address, which is optional.
Step 4: Select ‘Generate OTP’ and click on ‘Submit’ after entering the OTP received on your registered mobile number.

Step 1: Visit KARVY’s official website and click on the ‘Link Your Aadhar’ option.
Step 2: Enter your PAN and select the ‘Generate OTP’ option to proceed further.
Step 3: You will receive an OTP to the registered mobile number or email address.
Step 4: Select the mutual funds you want to link with your Aadhar and check the consent confirmation box.
Step 5: Enter your Aadhar number that will be linked with the selected mutual funds and click on the ‘Submit’ button to complete the process.
You will receive a confirmation message on the screen upon successful verification of all the details.
Steps to Link Aadhar to Mutual Fund with Franklin Templeton Portal
Step 1: Visit Franklin Templeton’s official website and select the ‘Customer Service’ option.
Step 2: Click on the ‘Update Aadhar number’ option available under the ‘Instant services’ menu.
Step 3: You will be redirected to a new page where you have to enter your PAN.
Step 4: There will be a drop down menu where you can select either of the available options to proceed further- Date of Birth, Pin Code, or Last Transaction Amount. Enter the details accordingly and click on ‘Next’.
Step 5: You will be taken to the next page where you have to provide the bank account number registered with Franklin Templeton at the time of making the investment. Click on the ‘Next’ button to go to the next step.
Step 6: Enter your Aadhar number and click on the ‘Submit’ button.

In case you have invested only a single mutual fund scheme or multiple schemes from the same fund house, you can easily link your Aadhar to mutual funds through the fund house itself.
